About

We care about
the future of leadership

Our work is to support leaders, their teams and organizations…
to become more resilient and adaptable in a rapidly changing world;
to thrive and be future-ready, connected with evolving stakeholder needs;
and to play their part in creating a more sustainable future.

Today’s business ecosystem is often described as BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, and Incomprehensible). Our core focus is to enable new and recent appointments to the executive team to develop the necessary skills and attributes to transition smoothly into this new position. In this high-pressure environment, we’ll help you to foster high performance without high stress, maximizing results whilst minimizing attrition.

Led by a distinct set of strategic values, the work we do with our clients is focused on developing effectiveness at scale. We also conduct ongoing research and consultancy work with thought leaders in prominent companies, institutions, and environments worldwide. This direct connection ensures we remain aligned with the latest thinking and global best practices for developing the kind of leaders and organizations needed to take the world forward.

Our Story

Barbara Walsh FCIPD, M.Sc.
Danny Tuckwood FCIPD, M.Sc.

We’ve been involved in leadership development for a long time. SupraLimina is the next iteration of our highly successful consultancy, Metaco, founded in 2009, which rapidly grew to become a leader in Executive and Team Coaching and Leadership Development solutions in Southern Africa, expanding into many parts of the world.

Now based in the United Kingdom, we’ve grown a strong international reputation for partnering with senior teams to level up their executive leadership capabilities to deliver systemic value across their organizations and strategic stakeholders.

We know leadership development is a major factor for most businesses; after all, it’s a multibillion-dollar worldwide market that shows no signs of slowing down. Therefore, one would expect great leaders and brilliant companies to be the norm. But it’s clear this is far from the case, so we set out to investigate some of the underlying causes.

Because the executive team has the most decisive effect on organizational culture and their behavior sets the model for the company’s culture, this was the logical place to begin.

We focused our study on those beginning their executive careers – at the transition from manager to executive leader. Given that these individuals are carefully selected for their current competency and the anticipated value they will bring to the team tasked with taking the organization forward, we were curious as to what organizations do to prepare them for this new role.

Our research enquired firstly, into the most important (non-technical) developmental aspects for a high-potential manager to learn before or soon after being promoted to a senior role, so they understand the challenges of executive leadership and are adequately prepared to contribute the expected value right from the start.

Secondly, we looked at what organizations are doing to develop their new executives; what they’ve learned works, what doesn’t, and the structural variables that might enable or derail their performance.

As a result,, we have created a unique portfolio of programs specifically aimed at supporting the transition from senior manager to executive roles.
